Thermal Insulation

Mud PHUSKA

It is an insulating medium in roof finish of - a layer of compacted soil underlying another layer of soil mixed with building material such as cow dung and fibrous reinforcing ingredient such as wheat straw.

Mud PHUSKA is a common type of insulating course in the roof used in all parts of India thru ages.
Its use is cheap, reasonably durable and adds enough thermal insulation for maintaining relatively comfortable temperature in the interior.

Roof Insulation with Thermocol

Thermocol or EPS sheets are in fact an excellent thermal insulator for the Indian climate. They are lightweight and affordable & easy to install with a high insulation value.
Sheets of thermocol are laid on the top of the mother slab and covered with bitumen paper of geo textile and a layer of protective concrete is laid to complete up the roof.

PU Foam Insulation

It is a 2 component mixture to be sprayed on the roof thru a highly specialized Foaming machine. It is sprayed in layers and its instantly dries up to an effective air, sound and thermal barrier. It has very high thermal resistance value and low thermal conducting values.

Vermiculite Insulation.

Roof Insulation is done by applying an average layer of 2” thick exfoliated vermiculite mixed with cement and water.  The layer has high thermal resistance value and is very light in weight. It is also a fire resistance and sound absorption material.
